Purpose:
This Resume Web Ring is a collection of resumes
which people have posted on the net. This ring will help employers
sort through the many resumes already out there. The purpose of
this ring is to bring together employers and job seekers
We do this by linking together so employers can easily navigate our resumes.

Do "U" Want to Join?
Can you answer "yes" to any of these
questions:
- I have a resume somewhere on the net.
- I am trying to get interested employers to check-out my qualifications.
- I want to put my talents "in-the-loop" – or, at least have companies look over my skills.
- I am a consultant (or presently working full-time) and want to start posting my talents to see who is interested.
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then you WANT to join this ring. It’s simple, free, and a benefit for employment (project) seekers.
|
What is it going to take?
Here is the simple part:
- Fill out the form below and you will get a email welcoming you to the ring.
- You are not part of the ring yet because we have to check out your site. We will make sure you are not trying to sell anything besides you own talents – i.e. you have some form of a resume on the net.
- After you register you need to add the graphics and navigation links to your page. Keep everything the same. We need to see this on your page before you are accepted into the ring.
- That’s it! You become part of the Resumes on the Net Web Ring within two weeks {usually sooner}. Employers will then be able to either stop at your page or move elsewhere. Easy!
|
Scope:
In order to make this a "nifty-keen" service for
resume posters … We ask you to consider the following:
- No one is making money off this service.
- No commercial interests are supported – no employment agencies, job shops, consulting agencies will be allowed in the ring! Companies are invited to check out our postings (we want that!). But, we are only seeking to publish our own qualifications.
- No banner-ads advertising any employment service will be accepted on any page. That is not our purpose.
- This is a no-nonsense resume-surfing group.
- This ring is open to all persons with a resume on the net. Period.

"R" "U" Qualified to Join?
This is not a resume submission service! We are
a group of Internet employment seekers wanting companies to see
our page and qualifications. We realize that NOT all of our technical
skills are needed by EVERY company; but, we feel confident in
publicizing our qualifications alongside other job seekers. To
join the ring you must have the following:
- An active resume (CV, qualifications page) web page. You need this NOW.
- About 15 minutes (total) to register and (sometime soon) post the navigational HTML code into your resume. {that’s how people find your site and move on to the next site!}

Joining:
What Code Do I Need To Add to my Resume (CV) Page?
OK, you have registered and received YOUR_ID_NUMBER
in an email message. You can cut & paste the code below into your
web resume. For non-graphic link code read this (*****):
- Insert the code below so it displays on your resume site.
- Where it says YOUR_ID_NUMBER, you replace YOUR_ID_NUMBER with the actual unique ID number assigned to you.
- Where it says YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS, replace that with your real Email address.
You MUST download one of the graphic sets locally to your server. Otherwise, use the Without-Graphics version. But consider, that without the graphics on your page the Ring is more difficult to navigate.
Graphics Version:
Click here and copy it into your page. Example:
This Resume Web Ring
site is owned by YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS.

Be sure to copy the following graphics where they can be referenced by your code: Use ring1.gif and ring2.gif for light colored backgrounds or ring3.gif & ring4.gif for dark colored backgrounds. I have also included ring5 & ring6 and ring7 & ring8 that have a little different style (thanks Kimberly for the donation) - please note, the sizes of the second row of graphics are a little different - so, if you don't know the code - keep it simple and use graphics in the top row. I have tried to offer non-obtrusive graphics (black & white), but if you have something better, I'll post them here for everyone to use. Thanks.

- *****Non Graphic links
are NOT recommended.
- Here is the reason: employers
will want to "skim" through
the resumes. The two graphics
allow easy navigation
through the Ring. Graphic
links will take priority
over non-graphic links.
Because of this : it is
best to use the graphics.
But if you must: here
is the code.
... only use this code if
you absolutely, positively
will not put the graphic links
on your resume - for example
some of our webTV members.
