He writes: "Here is one you do not appear to have but should - ("acquired" on a recent visit to N.Wales, where I lived and worked for some years - back in the 50s). "Dim o gwbl" can be seen all in village, town and city streets all over Wales - literal translation is "no doing nothing" - the "at any time" is thrown in, I guess to illustrate the Wales is bilingual! I think it is the most fascinating "do not" in the world - taken literally with the at any time addition - one dares not even breathe! Typical of Wales ambivalence as to whether it wants to be free of England - I guess the intention was/is to say "no parking, not stopping, no waiting" but, as an abbreviation it goes a little too far. I enjoyed your do not enter!"
