Cheap-O Simple-To-Understand Web Cam Process
(or ... one method of getting a live picture to the Internet)

Click - picture gets taken and changed from light (photons) to information (1 or 0). Bits are transported over a Parallel cable to A computer that organizes pictures out of ones and zeros.
Picture gets sized, formatted, and (f) Transferred (p) to a web server via FTP ( File Transfer Protocol).
Here the picture overwrites a previous copy in a publicly accessible directory.
And is included in an HTML wrapper to the Web.
And because a picture `not seen` does not convey information - someone has to SEE the picture. TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol) is employed to transfer the picture to client web browser.
